Mubtasimah scoops two Bonus winners £19,701 each - including Scoop6 SuperClub member

Congratulations to Scoop6 SuperClub member Howard Rothwell, 45, who added a further £19,701 to take his haul above £60,600 on the last two weekends.

After four winners walked away with £40,971.90 last week, the Scoop6 win fund built up nicely to £36,073.30 for the first race at 14:05 at Sandown Park.

There was controversy in the first race as Well Of Wisdom, top weight in the race bravely held on for victory. However, he did have to survive a stewards enquiry after appearing to interfere with the eventual fourth placed horse Surf Dancer. The result stood and 4,576 units progressed to the second leg at Newbury.

The Scoop6 Bonus race was the 14:25 at Newbury. This was billed as one of the more exciting races of the day as the ever-consistent Miss Celestial and Mubtasimah went head to head. The latter William Haggas trainer mare made light work of the race and landed two lucky customers £19,701 each in the process - including Howard, from Uxbridge.

Godolphin were at the double as Lazuli put about five lengths between himself and the rest of the field at Sandown in the third leg. 379 units progressed to leg four.

Leg four was the 15:00 at Newbury and despite a field of seven, the betting seemed to suggest it was a match race between Franconia and Cabaletta. Cabaletta seemed to get a little riled up just before the off and from that moment the Frankel filly ridden by Frankie asserted their dominance and eased up over the line to a comfortable victory. 138 units progressed to the penultimate leg.

It was the case of another favourite winning at Sandown with Solid Stone who put in a very solid performance. He produced a very nice turn of foot in the final couple of furlongs to win convincingly for Sir Michael Stoute and William Buick as 72 units progressed to the final leg.

In the final leg, King Of Comedy had 36 of the units remaining hoping that he could recapture some form. But it was Century Dream for Simon and Ed Crisford who scored the Group 3 Diomed Stakes. James Doyle finished with a treble on the day, perfect timing to hit top form before next week’s Royal Meeting.

There were three winners of the Scoop6 today. Each winner walks away with a dividend of £8,899.40.
