Scoop6 Punters Ei-ing £800,000 this Saturday  

This weekend’s Scoop6 could contain over £800,000 in combined funds with the Betfred Eider Chase one of the conundrums facing punters.

The third longest race in the calendar is the third leg of the popular bet and is the sole race from the Betfred sponsored action at Newcastle.

There are two races from the all-weather card at Lingfield which includes the Winter Derby while half of the bet contains races from Kempton. The final five races are all available to view in ITV4.

With seven weeks’ worth of win fund roll overs that pool kicks off Saturday with £447,514 already nestled in it while the bonus fund contains £236,200 ahead of the action.

Totepool spokesman Matt Hulmes said: “Plenty was piled into the Scoop6 last weekend when it looked very winnable with just sixty five declared runners but the 25/1 winner of the opening leg was ultimately a deciding factor in forcing a seventh successive rollover. There is a mixture of racing facing punters this weekend and I expect the pools to considerably grow with £800,000 on offer.”

The totejackpot takes in the first six races at Kempton on Saturday while the totetrifecta rollover race will be the 2:45 Newcastle, the Betfred Eider Handicap Chase. Sundays jackpot takes in the opening six races from a jumping card at Southwell

Totepool revealed this week that the Scoop6 is also set to run for all four days of the Cheltenham Festival. The bet will be a continuation of the previous weekend’s pool should there be any rollovers and will continue throughout the week. Therefore, should the win fund not be claimed on Saturday 10^th March, this will be go forward to the Scoop6 on Champion Hurdle Day. If the Scoop6 is won on the Saturday then the bonus race will take place on Tuesday 13^th March.
