Two tickets aiming for Scoop6 bonus, but if they leave it behind the combined pots should hit £400,000

Two winners of last weekend’s totescoop6 will take a shot at winning a bonus fund worth £230,572 on Saturday.

The anonymous ticketholders, of whom one staked just £2, pocketed a massive £307,122 for cracking last Saturday’s bet, culminating with Chase The Spud’s victory in the Betfred Midlands Grand National at Uttoxeter.

The bonus hunters could take their winnings beyond £500,000 by nominating the first horse home in the EBF & TBA Mares’ “National Hunt” Novices’ Hurdle Finale (3:00 Newbury) which has been chosen as this weekend's bonus race.  

Totepool spokesman Andrew Griffiths said: “We wish our mystery bonus hunters the very best of luck.  They already have plenty of cash in the bank but it would be wonderful to see one of them broach the £500,000 barrier with their Scoop6 winnings.”   

This weekend’s Scoop6 kicks off with an £87,002 starting fund after it was won last week.  The action comes from Kelso and Newbury and all six legs will be shown live on ITV4.

The totejackpot takes in the opening six races from Newbury on Saturday, while the Insure With Be Wiser Handicap Chase (2:25 Newbury) has been selected as the totetrifecta rollover race.
