Scoop6 pool of £250,000 includes Grade 1 action at Down Royal

Leg 3 of Saturday’s Scoop6 sees a return to action for King George winner Clan Des Obeaux, as the Paul Nicholls trained star builds toward a repeat bid on Boxing Day in the Grade 1 Ladbrokes Champion Chase at Down Royal. Standing in his way is top second season chaser Delta Work, along with last year’s winner Road To Respect, who can be lethal at this time of year. Despite a five runner field in the Down Royal feature, this is a tricky little puzzle for Scoop6 players this weekend.

This week Scoop6 SuperClub will most likely be keeping the powder dry as we hope the pools roll to higher levels.

Scoop6 action commences with Leg 1 in the 1.35pm at Ascot, with the 3.40pm bet365 Charlie Hall Chase at Wetherby concluding this week’s £250,000 combined prize pool. Tote spokesman Kevin O’Malley said: “This week’s Scoop6 races are competitive - particularly Legs 4 and 5 at Ascot - but plenty of players will feel this is a gettable pool. The potential Torpedo Legs could turn out to be at Down Royal and Wetherby. The Ladbrokes Champion Chase and bet365 Charlie Hall Chase may only have 12 runners between them, but they are both open and intriguing early season contests.”
