Scoop6 action at Cheltenham as National Hunt season warms up

On Saturday, a mix of high quality flat racing from Doncaster and Newbury is backed up by the return of top National Hunt action at Cheltenham.

There’s an estimated £250,000 for the combined Scoop6 fund this weekend after Qipco Champions Day threw up plenty of surprises, with King Of Change’s QEII victory knocking out all remaining tickets.

Scoop6 SuperClub will once again be keeping the powder dry as the pools build, but we would hope with rollovers ongoing to be back and playing in November. We wish members a winning weekend.

Tote spokesman Kevin O’Malley said: “All eyes were on Ascot last Saturday, but there is a quality blend of flat and jumps action at Cheltenham and Doncaster this weekend. Following his tidy Group 2 win at Leopardstown, Aidan O’Brien’s Mogul will rate as banker material on many tickets in the Vertum Futurity Stakes at 3.25pm, which is Leg 4 of the Scoop6.”

O’Malley added, “Leg 1 is Cheltenham’s 2.00pm, a tough 20-runner handicap which will undoubtedly be seen as an early Torpedo leg. One clash to get excited about is Quel Destin and Torpillo in the 2.35pm Masterson’s Holdings Hurdle, a pair of exciting young hurdlers running in the second leg of the Scoop6.”
