Rascal Ruins Hopes of Remaining Scoop6 Trio

Dirty Rascal proved just that to Scoop6 punters when knocking out the last three remaining hopes on Wednesday afternoon.

Richard Hannon’s charge landed a punt being backed into 7/1 from 14/1 in the morning, but none of the final trio were onside so the £42,626 win fund rolls into Thursday.

Sir Mark Prescott continued his good run of form when 9/1 hope Timoshenko landed a six timer, almost a year since his last victory before Sir Ron Priestley landed a 49th winner in July for Mark Johnston at 6/1. The two favourites in Liberty Beach (11/8) and Too Darn Hot (Evens) did not let supporters down to leave 115 hopes alive going into the final two legs. 

Megan Nicholls and Mannaal took the fillies’ handicap at 12/1 to leave a trio looking towards the lucky last where all thee units were on the favourite Light And Dark who was unplaced.

The totejackpot also takes place at Goodwood on Thursday afternoon and consists of the first six races on the card, getting underway at 1.50pm.
