Harbour Leaves Scoop6 Punters in the Cold And Sets Up £3 Million Combined Pools
Cold Harbour landed a gamble in the last at Lingfield this afternoon to leave Scoop6 Punters out of luck.
Punters will now set their sights on next Saturday when there will be an estimated £3.5million in the combined pots.
Ahead of the first contest, the win fund was worth £1,460,401 while the bonus fund had grown to £862,597.
In an eventful opener, it was Dyliev who came through for the win at 9/1 before Duca De Thaix landed 3/1 favouritism at Fairyhouse to take 13,101 units through to the Lanzarote Hurdle at Kempton.
The 16/1 victory of Big Time Dancer in that contest saw just 427 tickets make it through the halfway stage and into The Classic Chase at Warwick. That went the way of Impulsive Star at 8/1 to leave 30 players dreaming of landing the win fund.
Keeper Hill got the better of the uncovered Oh Land Abloom in the fifth leg, much to the joy of five ticket holders, who had just seconds to wait for the finale.
Four of the fourteen runner field was covered in the last, but it wasn’t to be with Prerogative fairing best of those in third, behind the 12/1 winner.
Totepool Spokesman Matt Hulmes said “Punters piled into the Scoop6 this afternoon, fancying their chances of landing the growing win fund with just 75 declared horses across the six races, but were denied for the tenth successive week. The silver lining to this weekend’s cloud is prospective pots of £3.5million next Saturday.”
The place fund paid £448.40 with 507 winning tickets.
