Paisley Park becomes a Scoop6 Millionaire Maker after Cleeve Romp

One anonymous punter was toasting Paisley Park this afternoon after the twelve length Cleeve Hurdle winner netted the £1,030,922 bonus fund.

Three bonus hunters when into the sixth race of Cheltenham’s Trials Day card dreaming of becoming a millionaire and adding the pot to last Saturdays winning haul of £643,903.

Aux Ptit Soins and Black Op, who finished third, were the other horses covered, but it was the 100/30 favourite Paisley Park who took it up at the final flight and flew clear to take the punters winnings to £1,674,825.

It was perhaps a fitting bonus scorer as just like the sixth and final selection of the Scoop6 last week, this was an Emma Lavelle trained three mile hurdle winner.

Totepool spokesman Matt Hulmes said, “Congratulations to our latest Scoop6 millionaire who has won £1,674,825 over the last seven days and I’m sure they will be toasting Emma Lavelle and her two big winners who have played a huge part in the win.”

In terms of this afternoon’s Scoop6 win fund, there were three winning tickets thanks to the victory of Benny’s Bridge under Paddy Brennan in the last leg who each won £123,106.60.

Sirah Du Lac (6/1), Ballyandy (3/1) and Go Conquer (8/1) saw 444 tickets get past the first three legs before Skewiff struck at 10/1 at Uttoxeter, taking 53 units through to leg five.

As well as making a millionaire, Paisley Park also sent 16 tickets through to the final leg were Benny’s Bridge scored a local success for trainer Fergal O’Brien.

Hulmes said of this weekend’s Scoop6 “Another trio of winners this Saturday have each netted £123,106 after Benny’s Bridge win in the last at Cheltenham and will have a shot at the £35,550 bonus fund next Saturday.”

Today’s place fund was won by 243 units and paid £204.80
