Scoop6 Dreams Dashed by Bacchus

Bacchus belied a layoff to score in the Wokingham Handicap on the final day of Royal Ascot as he pipped the gambled on Dreamfield and in the process sent the Scoop6 rolling into next Saturday.

Just three units remained going into the fifth leg of Saturday's bet, but none had chosen Brian Meehan’s outsider meaning £84,672 starts in the win fund next weekend.

Totepool spokesman Matt Hulmes said “We have run a Scoop6 every day of Royal Ascot with the highlight coming on Friday with one lucky punter taking home £862,914 after bagging the bonus. Punters were out of luck on Saturday afternoon so we roll onto to Northumberland Plate weekend with almost £100,00 already lining the win fund.”

Saturday's Scoop6 place fund paid a huge £4433.80 and was won by just 4 units.

The totejackpot also rolled over on Saturday courtesy of the same Wokingham result meaning all eyes will be focussed on Worcester jumps card on Sunday afternoon with £72,776.29 starting in the pot.
