Seventh Successive Scoop6 Rollover after Tommy Toughs it Out

Tommy Rapper sent the Scoop6 rolling into a seventh unclaimed week when landing the fifth leg of the bet at Haydock on Saturday afternoon.

Just one ticket remained going into the contest which was on Noble Robin, but after briefly getting involved he was under pressure as the field turned for home and dropped out of contention.

The first leg went to 25/1 shot and the fifth least covered Breaking Ground at Wincanton which saw just 2,800 tickets safely into leg two. Slightly more punter friendly results followed with 4/1 winner Le Patriote and Betfred Grand National Trial winner Yala Enki scoring at 8/1 meaning thirteen tickets survived at halfway. Just one ticket covered the day’s best received winner Waiting Patiently before but the sole survivor’s fate was sealed a few minutes later at Haydock.

The win fund now stands at £447,514 while the bonus fund has ballooned to £236,200.

Totepool spokesman Matt Hulmes said “It looked very likely the Scoop6 would be won this week with just 65 horses declared across the six legs. However the first result did plenty of damage and now over £800,000 will be up for grabs on Betfred Eider Chase weekend.”

The place fund paid £625.30 and was won by 142 tickets.
