Single Winner Claims £735,915 Scoop6
Lancelot Du Lac’s first win since the Stewards’ Cup at Goodwood last summer netted one Scoop6 punter a timely windfall ahead of the Cheltenham Festival.
The winning ticket holder has landed the £735,915 win fund and will have the chance to add the £339,201 bonus fund at Cheltenham on Tuesday by selecting the winner of a nominated race.
Should they be unsuccessful in the bonus quest, this will roll into Wednesday and be up for grabs should any Scoop6 punter find six winners of an estimated £200,000 win fund on Champion Hurdle Day.
Colt Lightning got favourite backers off to a cracking start at 4/1 to send 55,177 tickets through before Sam’s Gunner’s gutsy Sandown success at 12/1 and Mr Antolini’s similarly slow-motion finish at 20/1 whittled it down to just 46 left in with a shout with three legs remaining.
Flashjack took the fourth leg to the delight of a lucky thirteen ticket holders before Queenohearts dealt a good hand to a duo who remained ahead of the finale at Wolverhampton, with Lancelot Du Lac and Mickey the two horses covered, finishing first and second in the sixth leg.
There will be a Scoop6 in operation on every day of the Cheltenham Festival, with any rollovers going into the following days bet. Any punters who land the Win fund on any given day will be eligible to play for the bonus fund on a nominated race the following afternoon.
Totepool spokesman Matt Hulmes said “After eight weeks of being unclaimed the huge win fund has been landed this afternoon and an opportunity to take the punter’s winnings to over £1million will be played out on Tuesday at Cheltenham. However with an estimated £200k win fund on the opening day of the festival, there could still be over £1/2million on offer in the Scoop6 should the bonus rollover on Tuesday.”
The place fund paid £76.00 and was won by 989 tickets.
