Take Cover Captures £100k Bonus for Betfred Scoop6 Bettor

Take Cover sprinted to success at Newbury this afternoon and in the process landed the Scoop6 pot for two lucky ticket holders.

Both customers land £23,894.70 for the win fund but as one of them placed there bet in a Betfred shop, they take home a £100,000 bonus put up by Betfred founder Fred Done.

With all six winners a single figure price, there were still fifteen tickets heading into the final leg where the 10 year old Take Cover was selected by the successful duo.

Earlier on in the afternoon Brorocco landed the fifth leg as the 8/1 co-fav to ensure the Bonus fund was in play next Saturday, growing to £269,210.

The anonymous bonus hunter had selected unnamed favourite in the bonus race, which went on the lowest racecard number, therefore they had the eventual second Fidaawy running for them.

Totepool spokesman Matt Hulmes said “By walking into a Betfred shop to place a Scoop6 bet, this lucky punter has added a £100,000 bonus to his £23,894.70 winnings, just for being a loyal customer to Betfred, so a huge congratulations to them.

With the bonus fund going begging too, they can take their winnings to almost £400,000 if picking the winner of a designated race next Saturday on Betfred Cambridgeshire weekend”.

The place fund paid just £3.70 with 427 winning tickets.
