No Chords Struck in Scoop6

The Scoop6 rolled over for a fourth consecutive week following the victory of Vibrant Chords in leg four at Goodwood. The early morning favourite was a big drifter in the betting and was uncovered by the remaining eight players who had survived the opening three races.

A 10/1 success for Playful Sound and Marsha’s victory in the Palace House Stakes at 8/1 were hardly punter friendly in terms of the Scoop6 with just 268 tickets surviving the opening two races.

Although the bet looked winnable on paper with a couple of smaller fields than usual it was the 25/1 success of Gossiping in leg three that did most damage leaving just eight tickets to negotiate the final three contests.

Next weekend will begin with £190,728 in the win fund while £327,418 already lines the bonus pot.

Totepool spokesman Matt Hulmes said “It wasn’t a classic weekend for Scoop6 punters with players failing to get past leg four this afternoon. It means a fourth consecutive rollover sees funds of over £500,000 line the pools ahead of totescoop6 Victoria Cup weekend at Ascot next Saturday”.

The place fund paid £124.30 and was won by 194 tickets.
