Harry Denies Scoop6 players
A big priced success for Henllan Harri in the 3.35pm Sandown meant the Scoop6 went begging for the third successive week.
Peter Bowen’s 40/1 winner denied the remaining 52 tickets that had made it past halfway and ensures next weekends bet starts with over £462,000 in the pot.
Earlier on in the afternoon La Celebs Ville’s 8/1 success at Haydock saw 1165 tickets successfully pass the first test before a pair of winning favourites in Call Me Lord and Afjaan whittled it down to 52 players before Henllan Harri, one of only two uncovered horses in leg four, struck.
Totepool Spokesman Matt Hulmes said “The rank outsider winning the big handicap at Sandown put paid to any hopes of a Scoop6 winner this weekend, therefore we welcome in the first classics of the season at Newmarket with combined funds expected to reach £600,000”.
There were 17 winners of the place dividend with each receiving £1056.40
