Cogry forces Scoop6 rollover

The totescoop6 went begging this afternoon after Cogry won the BetBright Casino Handicap Hurdle at Cheltenham.

Following a 50/1 boilover in the opening leg, which ended the hopes of 99.8 per cent of Scoop6 players, just three lines remained going into the fourth leg with only Rocklander covered by punters hunting down the £534,080 win pool.

But Cogry proved too tough for the 2/1 favourite, getting back up after being headed to trigger a sixth consecutive rollover.

The bonus fund was not played for and now stands at £157,342.

totepool spokesman Andrew Griffiths said: “The Scoop6 offered little New Year cheer for punters but the prospect of a £800,000-plus prize fund next weekend should put a smile back on their faces.”

Turnover was strong on the first day of 2017 with £418,464 invested into the pools.  There were 1,693 winners of the place fund, each of whom picked up £43.20.
